Return and Refund Policy

Scope

This policy applies to consultation and related service fees paid to Gutierrez & Lumanag Law and Notary through PayMongo, GCash/Maya/QR Ph via PayMongo, or cash/transfer at the office for walk-in and online consultations booked through this website.

Nature of fees

Consultation fees are charges for professional time reserved for advice and case assessment. They are not product purchases. Paying a consultation fee does not by itself create a full attorney-client engagement for representation unless a separate engagement agreement is signed.

When refunds may be available

• Duplicate or erroneous payment — full refund of the duplicate/erroneous amount after verification.
• Firm cancels — if the firm cancels your confirmed consultation and no alternative schedule is agreed, you may request a full refund of the unused consultation fee.
• Technical payment failure — if PayMongo charged you but the booking/payment was not recorded, contact us with the PayMongo reference; we will refund or complete the booking after verification.

When refunds are generally not available

• After the consultation has been held (in person or online).
• Client no-show, late cancellation within a short window before the slot, or failure to join an online meeting without prior notice (unless the firm agrees otherwise in writing).
• Change of mind after payment when the firm has already reserved counsel time and confirmed the appointment, except as required by law or agreed by the firm.

How to request a refund

Email gl.lawandnotary@gmail.com or WhatsApp/call +63 898 103 2990 within seven (7) days of the payment date. Include your full name, payment date, amount, PayMongo / reference number, and reason.

Approved refunds are processed through the original payment channel when possible (e.g., PayMongo). Bank clearing times vary. We aim to decide refund requests within five (5) business days of receiving complete information.
